To utilize traditional martial arts philosophies, practices, and physical strengthening in a modern setting to achieve self-confidence and discipline.
Our family style classes focus on teamwork, develop discipline, improve coordination, and stress a structure of positive core values.
Our dojo is located near the growing area of South Hillsboro close to family neighborhoods and local schools. We have programs for ages 4 and older!
Born and raised in Hillsboro, Oregon, Alex White developed a love for martial arts at the age of 11. Fascinated with the disciplinary structure of karate and taekwondo (and the cool flips, of course), Alex consumed himself with their immersive curriculums. In martial arts, he found a world of escape and self-reflection; it offered him a chance to grow as a leader and an individual.
As the years progressed, his mother, Kelly Lowry, could see how dedicated Alex was to the sport. She found herself spending hours alongside her son at tournaments and competitions, supporting him along every step of his journey. By the age of 13, Alex had decided his dream was to open his own dojo and teach kids.
At the age of 16, Alex spent 7 years training extensively to increase his skill and understanding of the martial arts. In 2017, Alex and Kelly achieved one of their shared goals, Next Generation Karate was founded. Established through a dedication and true passion for the martial arts, NGK was created to spread the positive core values the sport has to offer while supporting growth within every individual who walked through its doors.
Since its founding in 2017, Next Generation Karate has evolved into an incredible community of unique individuals, each striving to improve their sense of self-respect and discipline while extending their support to others.
We would like to welcome you to our family!
NGK offers daily class options for all ages for one simple monthly fee! Our unlimited program presents a variety of classes for every student.
