We offer programs and classes for families and individuals of all ages. Classes are divided into age divisions that allow every student an equal opportunity to succeed.
An introductory lesson is the necessary first step in order to establish a communication rapport between the sensei and the student. The lesson is representative of an actual class and ensures the student will be able to engage fully in the class. You will leave the lesson with the spirit of NGK and cool swag - a Next Generation Karate T-shirt!
To schedule your introductory lesson, call us at (971) 281-4371 or email us at senseialex@nextgenerationkarate.com.
We want our students to not only succeed, but also to excel. We offer programs that give students an individualized class, focused on the activities to make the student successful and explore areas of specific interest outside of our normal program classes.
Each enrolled student receives a complimentary private lesson each month in addition to their scheduled program classes.
Additional personalized instruction is also available for students through single private lessons or private lesson packages in addition to their normal program.

Each student in the Generation Z program starts in our beginning class, designed for white, yellow, and orange belts.
Upon completion of the first level, students graduate into our intermediate class, designed for blue, purple, and green belts.
The third level is our advanced class, designed for our brown, red, and black belts.
As students advance through these levels, we highly recommend that they attend lower level classes as needed to retain the skills in these classes.
Each week the programs will focus on one of the core curriculum areas:
Kata - Teaches students traditional martial arts of Taekwondo and Shotokan karate that originated in Korea and Japan.
Weapons - A mix of traditional weapon and sport karate katas. Students are taught the correct use of weapons such as bo staffs, nunchucku, kamas, sai, and katanas.
Self Defense - Realistic and fast-paced techniques built on creating a reliable reaction to any self-defense situation.
Allows students to evolve their training to a realistic level and practice with others using physical contact.
Starting with foundational gymnastics skills, students learn the basics and advance to high flying aerial kicks and flips commonly used in creative karate forms.
Students are provided with an additional opportunity each week to work on their curriculum in small groups as well as independent instruction. Practice makes permanent!
